For this concert, the group is joined by Karan Casey, one of the most innovative and provocative voices in Irish folk music. Since its founding 20 years ago, Lúnasa has become one of the most popular bands on the international Celtic music scene. Its novel arrangements and distinctive musical approaches have created a singular sound that has propelled Irish acoustic music into exciting new territory. Performing on fiddle, flute, whistles, uillean pipes, double bass, and guitar, the group is joined by special guest Karan Casey, one of the most innovative and provocative voices in Irish folk music.
